I went to yoga classes for many years before I began to truly practice yoga, when I started taking Anusara-inspired classes in 2004. With its precise focus on healthy alignment and a truly uplifting philosophy, the practice of yoga become a part of my life, both on and off the mat. I continued my studies in earnest at the World Yoga Center in 2006, immersing myself in the physical practice and beginning a meditation practice. I completed WYC's Anusara Immersions I-III in 2009 and Level One Teacher Training in 2010. I am a 200-hour level yoga teacher registered with the Yoga Alliance and have studied extensively with WYC Director and longtime meditation teacher Rudrani Farbman Brown and senior Certified Anusara Teacher Jackie Prete. As I work towards Anusara Inspired status, I have supplemented my studies in anatomy with Certified Anusara Teacher Ellen Saltonstall and in meditation with Swami Shankarananda of Melbourne, Australia (formerly of Brooklyn). I bring to my classes my love of Anusara's precision and my deep feeling of connection with its philosophy of aligning with the highest within our own selves.
