Susanna is a Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher whose creative and dynamic classes combine a precise attention to alignment with a practice that embraces and emphasizes each student’s individual strengths. Susanna weaves myth and metaphor, poetry and philosophy into the practice in order to connect students with the power and beauty that resides at their core. Completing her Anusara Yoga Teacher Training in 2002 with Amy Ippoliti at Virayoga, she has been teaching in lower Manhattan ever since, celebrating the vibrant diversity that is downtown NYC.

Susanna continues to be inspired by her teachers, John Friend, Sianna Sherman, and Dr. Douglas Brooks, one of the world’s leading scholars of Hindu Tantrism, and her guide into the heart of Rajanaka Tantra. She has apprenticed with John Friend and regularly assists Sianna in the U.S. and in Paris. She is continually grateful and amazed to have such brilliant beings as friends and teachers.

Susanna combines her life as a yoga teacher with an active career as an artist, exhibiting internationally. She has been reviewed in publications such as the New York Times, Flash Art, and Sculpture, and is represented in many public and private collections such as the UCLA Hammer Museum, The Berkeley Museum, and the Addison Gallery of American Art. Recently she was profiled in FIT YOGA Magazine in the article Expansive Expression, which explored the connection between her life as an artist and as a yoga teacher.
