Karin believes Yoga is more than physical exercise; it's a way to strengthen and stretch the body while exploring the reality of mind and spirit. She feels the benefits of Yoga are be best measured by the quality of your daily interactions with those around you. Karin teaches a leisurely paced yoga class with a focus on introspection and self discovery. Most classes include a centering meditation, breath work, postures and relaxation. She enjoys exploring a range of yogic topics that include yoga philosophy, meditation, yoga nidra, exploration of cakras or in-depth posture study, and chanting. It is likely that one or more of these aspects will show up in class. She feels that yoga is best experienced through the silent communication of teacher and student. Helping her students rediscover their true nature is her great joy. She has a strong interest in Yoga Nidra (sleep of the Yogi) and the study of Sanskrit. As an experienced registered yoga teacher, E-RYT 500, registered with Yoga Alliance, she constantly deepening her skills. She completed over 1000 hours of Hatha Yoga training taught by Hansa Knox at the Prana Yoga and Ayurveda Mandala in Denver, Colorado. She holds the designation of Integrative Restoration Institute, Certified iRest Teacher, a specific approach of Yoga Nidra as taught be Richard Miller, PhD. Yoga Nidra is a powerful healing path of self inquiry that assists in meeting, greeting and welcoming your whole SELF! And she continues her study of Sanskrit (language of yoga) at Naropa University. In addition to regularly scheduled yoga classes Karin offers workshops, advanced study classes, yoga teacher training and is available for private consultation.
